Well I figured since noones posted on this sub in over a month i'd try to get it going again.
I've expanded my collection of satellite phones, and it now includes the following:
Globalstar GSP-1600
Globalstar GSP-1700
Iridium 9500
Iridium 9505
Iridium 9555
Iridium 9575
Inmarsat Pro

I'm not rich by any means, I just pick up phones off ebay when I spot a good deal, I guess with all these phones i'll be ready should the internet, pots, and cellular networks go down.
Anyone else a collector?

I have several Globalstar 1600s and a Globalstar SAT-550 which 900 Mhz gem. One day I will activate the 1600.

That SAT-550 is an early satellite phone, they probably wouldn't even activate it.
The problem with Globalstar is they no longer have prepaid service, and when they did they charged a $50 activation fee.
I couldn't imagine needing postpaid service since I don't travel much where there's no cell service.

SAT-550 might be activated if in Europe certainly not in US.
